2025 Festival Wrap

Dear Mayworks Community,

Thank you for joining us for the 40th annual Mayworks Festival of Working People and the Arts.

Through art and community gatherings, Mayworks 2025 invited audiences to bear witness to the strength, struggle and imagination of communities seeking labour justice, land sovereignty and a dignified life.

It has been a month of reflecting on our fears of organizing and the resistance and collective action that continues to propel us forward. We are fortunate to have worked with such talented artists and are grateful for their contributions, celebrating, through a variety of amazing artworks, the networks of solidarity formed through resistance and our experiences of mutual care.

Thank you to the audience members and communities that attended the festival!  Your presence, your questioning, and your appreciation make it all worthwhile.

Thank you to the dedicated volunteers, and the Mayworks board and staff, for all your hard work and dedication.
