A Message from
Mayworks Festival

We've been so looking forward to welcoming you all and celebrating the 35th edition of the Mayworks Festival. We're tremendously proud of the work we commissioned and of the calibre of talent in our NGHTSHFTS 2020 artist list. 

After much consideration from our staff, partners, and board – and as more information has become available about the challenging situation we find ourselves in due to COVID-19 – Mayworks is not able to move forward with our 2020 festival as planned. This is not an easy decision for us to make, but our priority at the moment is the health and well-being of our team, artists, attendees, and the public. 

In the meantime, we hope that you'll take all precautions to stay safe and healthy. Our festival, the longest-running Labour Arts festival in Canada, has been growing a movement and giving a voice to ‘artists as workers and workers as artists’ for 35 years. We need these voices now more than ever, and will be back strong.
