Each year, the Toronto & York Region Labour Council holds a ceremony at the end of April to commemorate workers who have been injured or lost their lives on the jobsite.

The ceremony includes remarks by injured workers, family members, union leaders, and elected representatives.  Unions, labour councils, families and community partners who gather to mourn these losses also vow to prevent further suffering.
